  • You don’t want to waste money & time on a business venture that may not turn out to be profitable.
  • You need someone to help you to get focused on goals & objectives and put a plan together.
  • You need someone to help you to figure out if your idea has a chance of being successful.
  • You need someone to help you to start your business the right way with a good solid plan and simple straight forward advice.

That’s exactly what I do!

Cheryl McNicol | Business AdvisorI’m Cheryl McNicol, Small Business Training and Coaching Expert and my mission is to inspire, motivate and educate aspiring entrepreneurs so that they can make their dream of running their own business a reality.

I’ve spent over ten years working directly with over 500 small business owners across Canada to write a viable business plan based on solid research and realistic goals. By providing expert training and coaching, I help my clients to start and grow a thriving and profitable business. I give entrepreneurs simple, practical advice and guidance so they can write their own business plan, start earning income faster and start enjoying life more. What really gets me fired up is seeing the increased confidence level and the big smile on my clients face when they complete their plan and actually launch their business. One of my client’s was in tears when she showed me her very first cheque about to be deposited into her bank account. Of course, this made me cry tears of joy for her too.

Working with me is fun and energizing. By using a collaborative, focused approach along with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, I help you to realize your dream of starting and running a successful business. I focus on keeping you inspired and motivated throughout the process.

LEARN MORE ABOUT ME

I’m an outgoing, positive and energetic mature woman who loves living life to the fullest. I’m a wife and mother of two amazing adult children who live in Ontario with their partners, children, dogs, cats, and yes even horses. Three generations of my family have owned and operated businesses in Canada. Entrepreneurial spirit is ingrained in my DNA. I was raised in an entrepreneurial family and have experienced first-hand what works and what doesn’t work. I was born and raised in Chatham, a small city in Southern Ontario close to the Michigan border. This is where I met my partner and soulmate Ted. We’ve worked and lived in a number of cities in Ontario, Michigan, and British Columbia.

I call Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast of BC, Canada my home now. If you’ve ever been here you know what a paradise this little part of the world can be. You can find me and my peeps walking or hiking the mountain trails, swimming in the Pacific Ocean, attending book club, playing golf or getting together to enjoy a spectacular feast and a bottle or two of wine.

I am so grateful for all of the wonderful people in my life and the opportunities for me to help people to be happy and successful. To give back just a little to my community, I volunteer with the Gibsons and District Chamber of Commerce as a board member and Membership Committee Chairperson. I’m proud to be called the Small Business Knowledge Philanthropist by the board members of the Community Resource Centre. I was given this title while working with the Progress Plan for Women whose mandate was to identify and address barriers for women on the Sunshine Coast of BC. Our team of volunteers was instrumental in establishing the Sunshine Coast Self-Employed Women’s Network and I’m proud to be the first President of the board of directors. We have a lot of fun while sharing experiences, supporting and learning from each other.
